Rainbow Cupcake!

Quite a success, but the icing was crazy. No step-to-step pictures, only some random shots when I felt like it.

This was done about a month ago. I used red dragonfruit for red colouring, a blue flower for blue colouring, yellow and green colouring were artifical food colouring, while purple and orange were a mixture.

They looked good in pictures, but actually.. The red colour of the dragonfruit disappeared after the baking.. So all that was left was yellow, green and blue. So I decided to bake this rainbow cupcake once more, with artificial food colouring!

Glorious pretty rainbow cupcakes!

The cupcakes this time are pretty, so pretty I felt so touched! hahaha!

I used whip cream for the icing. This was the most dramatic moment actually.

While preparing, the whip cream was still liquid. Mom told me that the beating machine was spoiled so I had to whip the cream manually. About 5 minutes into it, my arm was ridiculously sore.

Me: Ma, that time you whip cream, used how long?
Mom: About 30 minutes.
Me: Oh, okay.
Mom: But it wasn't this much.

Okay, it's alright, I will not give up. C'mon, the joy when you see your hardwork come to form, isn't that great? So I continued beating.
And beating.
And beating.
Then mom went and took out the beating machine.

Mom: Oh my god, it works!
Me: Ah.
Mom: Stop beating already! Let's use this!
Me: But I want to beat...
Mom: It will take forever. Stop!

And she planted the beating machine into my cream. And switched it on. I felt so hopeless clutching onto my whisking thing. So I left it in the sink and took over the machine.

It was wonderful, at the speed it was going. The cream got fluffier and fluffier, but it was still liquid.
So I continued, lifting the bowl once in a while to see if the cream will fall.. It was going to form, as I lifted the bowl one last time when suddenly...

The cream started to curd. You know, the texture of spoiled milk? Pieces of taufu-looking things and liquid... Panic attacks as I ran to my mom for help. She looked at it, with the same hopelessness I had. But mom didn't give up, she switched on the machine on high speed and continued.
Swirled around the curds, around and around.

And it started forming!! CREAM, ICING CREAM OH CREAM!! And it tasted like heaven. Oh yes...

So I separated the cream into 3 parts; blue, red and green. Spooned it into the piping bag and off we go, piping the icing! I was more than halfway through, having fun when liquid started coming out of the piping bag.

My palm was too warm holding on the bag, and the cream melted. D: So I randomly piped the remaining icing as fast as I could, while my mom was being all naggy about how I did it so slow and that's why it happened, "quick pipe the liquid here, pipe the icing, quick!". Nervousness.

But! At least, it still looks good, haha! Will improve on the icing next time! ;)

Report on our mission ranked "A"

Group 1: Me and Kasumi (Have to avoid Kazu and Tsuki)

Group 2: Kaka and Kirei (Can go anywhere to spot Kazu and Tsuki)

Group 3: 3 ordinary female (Provide information of the location of Kazu and Tsuki for Group 1)

Group 4: 4 ordinary male (Nothing to do with the mission)

At 10am, 14th March, Kasumi, Kaka, Kirei and I setted out on our mission. We were fetched by the Kage to our battle field.

Once we reached there, we saw Kazu and Tsuki standing waiting.

Actually this was the 1st time Kasumi had to see Kazu and because Kazu's aim in this mission is to see Kasumi's face, she had to hide (but I don't need because Kazu is already my friend and has seen me lots of times xD).. When we reached there, she didn't know that it was him until 1 member from Group 3 mentioned it, Kasumi used the hiding technique and disappear. I forgot and started searching for her until she contact me with her newest location.

I guided her from her location and we quickly went into the main gate of "The Battle Field"..

Once we were in there, we took all the items we need for our mission. We saw Kazu twice..

1st: We were heading towards the weapon claimer when a member from Group 3 contact us and told us that Kazu was there.. I decided to use the long way.. When we reached there, he was not to be seen anywhere.. I activated my Shakugan and viola, there he was.. He was walking towards the opposite direction.. So he didn't see us :D After withdrawing the weapons, we set out searching prey >:D

2nd: So we were searching.. I was taking a cushion to protect Kasumi's face.. We came to the part for oil.. I was busy detecting Kazu.. And I wanted to check out the next department for Kasumi while she was screaming at me to buy oil.. I didn't listen and peek to the next slot and Kazu just appeared in front of me.. I gave a SCREAM and quickly took Kasumi's hand and fled xDDD

After all those, we paid and got out.. We were bored because Group 2 wasn't out yet.. So I contacted Kaka by telepathy and we went in again.. This time, we couldn't see Kazu already.. I think he gave up xDD

So after succeeding, and finishing our lunch,the Kage took us all back to our her office.. We did our normal daily stuff there.. We ate all the junk food we withdrawed just now xD

Then when it was dinner at 5.30pm, Kazu and his friends came to find Tsuki (she is with us xDD) and so, Kage called us into her office and we were at a new mission :(

This time, Kirei wasn't there because she was ordered into another mission.. So it was left to me and Kaka to protect Kasumi xDD We were at a serious stage (well, not really) and because Kasumi wanted to see Kazu's face too (she couldn't see because if she sees him, he can see her too..), I had my handy communication tool to help me. I took several pictures and showed her.. Quite impressive xDD

After a long meeting between them, Tsuki was on an urgent call to a mission.. Her sister, was in Group 3, had to follow too xDD So off they went..

Its was left to Kazu and his 2 partners (1 boy 1 girl).. They dilly-dally around, then only they left.. And, I declare: Mission accomplished

Status of mission: 50% succeed and 50% failed (I have no idea why xD)
